STAB R2, Part 5Shaina breathed a sigh of relief as she saw a Dragonite appear on the lake. "Why didn't you tell me that the two of you pulled it off?" She asked Knight, who was reluctantly standing near her.
"It didn't come up," Knight responded, concentrating on the match.
"Like hell it didn't. I only asked several times," Shaina snapped, glaring at him. She wasn't too happy that he decided to ditch the BBC gear that she had given him. Now she was pretty mad that he wouldn't tell her something as simple as whether or not her best friend had managed to set out what she wanted to do.
Knight glanced at her and then went back to the match. "You can stare at my fantasmical face all you'd like but at least now you have your answer."
Shaina kept composed as her attention went to the match, although she wouldn't be lying if she said she wanted to punch him in the face. She took a deep breath and softly sighed to herself.
What the hell did Charpie see in this guy anyways?
Charpie grinned as Te
STAB R2, Part 4"Knock em down! FRANZ! LOCKSLEY!" Dominic's shiny Scyther landed roughly on the raft, causing it to sway back and forth, while the Eelektross simply levitated, ripples of electricity running through its body.
Charpie reached for her pokeballs but fumbled, dropping them onto the raft. It was hard using one hand to reach for two balls. Face heating up, she hurried to pick them up before something worse happened.
"H3h3h3h3h3h3h3h33h3h3h3! T3H TUBB13 CR1PL3 1S H4V1NG 1SSU3S!"
Charpie could feel her mouth tighten as she balanced both balls in her hand. She took a deep breath. She could do this, despite a broken arm, and almost dropping her pokeballs into the water, she could win this round. She put too much hard work into the past couple of days working with her pokemon and in those few days Charpie saw improvement in all of them, including herself. And while her carelessness got her hurt with Temeraire, it didn't mean that she couldn't still do it.
Charpie threw the pokeballs in
STAB R2, Part 3Shaina wasn't prepared for what she was greeted with before her friend's match. She was hoping that when Knight and Charpie came back in time for her match, plus one Dragonite and ready to kick ass. Instead, Shaina was welcomed by Knight helping Charpie walk back towards the booth, with the later wearing a swollen face and cradling her left arm, wrapped in Knight's jacket.
While she was thoroughly shocked and surprised, she willed herself not to panic. Shaina was a rational thinker and a business woman. She had dealt with plenty of setbacks and surprises before. This was no different than a simple transaction that didn't go her way.
Except that this was her best friend. Shaina quickly dropped what she was doing and ran towards her.
To her credit, Shaina at least waited til the medic arrived to drill Charpie.
"Just what the hell happened?" she asked, nearly hissing, as the medic looked at
Charpie's arm, which wasn't looking so good in Shaina's opinion.
Charpie sharply sucked in some air
STAB R2, Part 2Charpie quickly turned away from Knight and grabbed Shaina by the arm, pulling her in and loudly whispering, "WHAT THE HELL IS HE WEARING?"
"Clothes it would seem. It's the latest craze you know."
Shaina wasn't fazed. "Oh, he didn't tell you? We ran into each other while you were out training, we talked for a little bit, disagreed over some stuff, and he agreed to help out when it was brought up. I wasn't going to turn down a perfectly good walking advertisement."
"Really, Shaina? You've already roped enough people into this! Couldn't you have backed
off at least once? "
"That's a rhetorical question, right?"
Charpie face palmed, or at least wanted too. Except that contestants were actually starting to appear, and the last thing she needed was another embarrassment. "Shaina I just want to know one thing .why?"
Shaina wrapped her arm around Charpie's shoulders, bring her in closely. "Remember that time you hooked me up with your lab partner, Luis Santino?"
